We need your help! As we are growing, our fundraising needs are also growing. Please, if you are excited about this project, talk to everyone about it!!! Ideas are: Mail a letter to clients, talk to coworkers, friends, family, neighbors, etc. Invite them to contribute and come help deliver! A donation of $300 feeds 10 families, $150 feeds 5 families, and $30 feeds 1 family. Any donation will help tremendously! One hundred percent of your donations, every single penny, goes towards purchasing food and toys. All the overhead is donated. Later in this email is a description of the Basket Brigade that you can use for your fundraising efforts.

The CCCC is a non profit organization that has been providing client names and assists with our efforts every year. Upon completion of the Basket Brigade, CCCC will mail a thank you letter (an employer may want to hang this up) which with your canceled check will be your receipt. Your name will be included in their annual report.

Please meet us at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 21st, at the Thanksgiving Basket Brigade location which is: Champ Direct Printing & Mailing, 75 Cascade Boulevard, Milford, CT 06460.

We have the perfect site for our Basket Brigade again this year. Due to the increased number of baskets, this year we need as many volunteers as possible to help pack and deliver.

We will have:
1. Starbucks Coffee and danish waiting for you!
2. Live DJ to get our feet moving and keep the energy rolling.
3. More baskets, more baskets, more baskets. Last year we did 450……this year we are targeting 500!
4. We have our efficiency/productivity consultant Steve, flying in from Cincinnati OH, to make our delivery day even more productive!!! ….yes, that is possible!

Basket Brigade of Connecticut is a volunteer organization that delivers food to families most in need,
in time for Thanksgiving.

Our hope is that those touched by this kindness may someday extend such kindness onto others.

Connecticut Thanksgiving Basket Brigade
Every year, since 1993 – on the weekend before Thanksgiving, volunteers have gathered to put together and deliver baskets with a complete Thanksgiving dinner to families in need, in the greater New Haven and Bridgeport, Connecticut areas. We work with several local agencies to find the families that could really use help with a Thanksgiving dinner. These agencies include the Coordinating Council for Children in Crisis (CCCC), Yale Child Study Center, ALSO-Cornerstone, Bella Vista, Kennedy Center, Hall Neighborhood House and Action for Bridgeport Community Development (ABCD).

From 1994 to 2002, we delivered baskets to between 100 and 130 families each year. Over the last four years – because of increased support from people like you – we have been able to expand the reach of the Basket Brigade and this year our goal is 500 baskets.
